Start, stop, and pause transcription

You can remotely start, stop, and pause a transcription session from the LiveScrypt Devices page, the device's Settings page, and from the Devices Dashboard. The time that a transcription session is paused is not counted as billable time for the session.

Before you begin

Before you can start, stop, and pause transcription using Epiphan Edge, you'll need:

    • An Epiphan Cloud account.
    • An admin computer with Internet access.
    • A LiveScrypt device that is set up and paired to your Epiphan Cloud team.

Start, stop, and pause transcription from the Devices Dashboard

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Edge > All Devices to open the Devices Dashboard.
  2. In the row for the LiveScrypt device, click Start transcribing.

  3. When you're done, hover over the active transcribing button and click when the label changes to Stop Transcribing.

    4. You can select multiple LiveScrypt devices at the same time. An Epiphan Edge Premium plan is needed to perform batch operations, see Managing your account and changing your plan.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Edge >LiveScrypt. The list of LiveScrypt devices opens.

  2. In the row for the LiveScrypt device, select Start transcribing.
  3. When you're done, hover over the active transcribing button and click when the label changes to Stop transcribing.

  1. Open the LiveScrypt device Settings page, do one of the following:
    1. From the Devices Dashboard, click the device name or click the three dots at the end of the device's row and select Settings.
    2. From the LiveScrypt Devices page, click the device name in the list of devices.
  2. Click Start transcription in the top left corner of the LiveScrypt device Settings page.

  3. When you're done, click the red stop icon to stop transcribing. Or select the pause icon and then restart the transcription when you're ready.
