Hey guys just got my web caster and i plugged the wrong power supply into it, instead on the 5v i plugged a 12v now it wont turn on. Is there a fix or is it stuffed ?

Brought it online from Kiwi Photo, its a bugger its fried only got to use for one day and it was working great
As it was purchased through a reseller, they would be responsible for handling any RMAs.
It might be possible to add an MOV set to 10 volts that would short out the incoming power supply for anything over-voltage that could damage the unit. Last I checked, that part was pennies. It would cost more to add to the manufacturing but it could pay off in customer PR. That’s old-school and there might be something newer. I would have thought the power supply connectors are different for different voltages, but maybe not. for myself, I color code all power supplies with what they power - Little color dots or color cord zip strips.
