Streaming from Pearl Mini directly to a website

Hello!!!

Has anyone done the following? Send the output of a Pearl Mini stream to a website in lieu of streaming to Youtube or Facebook? I’d like to see our Sunday services livestream go to our website for other to see and eventually get away from other CDN’s. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hello Mark!

CDNs are used to essentially host stream data (audio and video) to the internet. They have mechanisms built in to allow for this; providing credentials (stream URL/Stream keys, etc.) to users so they may stream data to their services. Unfortunately, it is likely that a standard website does not have this type of infrastructure built in.

A way around using a CDN would be to set up a personal media/web server local or remote to you, then stream to this server which hosts your stream data to the internet. This would certainly come with its own challenges, not including the extra cost of setting up and maintaining, in addition to this being beyond the scope of this forum.

You can check out this to start:

But there are certainly other options out there as well. Generally, choosing a CDN like YouTube or Facebook will be much more user friendly.

Hope this helps!
