Pearl-2 was fine then lots of broken pipe / End of File errors

Our church has been using a Pearl-2 to stream services for some time with ni issues. About a month ago we started to get comments from viewers about break uo on sound and vision. We noticed that we were getting Broken Pipe and End of File error messages every minute or so which led to Youtube buffering and “No Data” messages. We have checked connections and also recorded onto the Pearl which is fine. We work via a switch and router for internet access.
The error logs show the below (exerpt). Any advice gratefully received as we have had to stop streaming and just post a recording.

Hello!

Thank you for sharing the logs - we typically see these issues as a result of connection issues between the Pearl and the CDN (the place you’re streaming to). The “Connection Time Out” means Pearl couldn’t connect to the YouTube in an expected amount of time, and “broken pipe” typically means some kind of “break” from the CDN side that stop the streamed connection from Pearl.

Being that the recordings are clean and without issues, this indicates to me we are indeed looking at a networking issue.

Do you only notice these issues when there are lots of folks on your network, or specific times during the day? Could you share a screenshot of your encoding settings for your channel?

Hi Ryan,
Thank you for your help. to answer your questions, we don’t generally have anyone online via our netwrok whilst streaming. As we generally stream on a Sunday morning service we have only tried a couple of times outside those hours but it still seems to be an issue. I’ve screenshot the settings as you asked ( I hope!).
Thank you again for your help

Hello!

hmmm could you try unchecking “use current signal resolution as frame size” and then choose a resolution? 1920x1080 is pretty standard these days. Press apply after choosing your resolution,

If you are switching between sources that are different resolutions, with this setting checked it would cause the encoding resolution of your channel to change. This might, depending on the CDN, cause some issues.

If the issues persist, please submit a ticket to support@epiphan.com so we can take a closer look!
