I was just about to log a feature request with what I beleive is the same behaviour noted on this thread. It looks like there may be an older request too.
To clarify (and hopefully confirm this is the same as what @Shebert discussed) - it would be great to have the option to overlay a recording indicator on a HDMI output. Essentially similar to the existing option for the audio meter.
The MultiViewer provides this today but there does not appear to be any way to show this when directly tracking a channel. The multiviewr also can not be set to just show a single window so that options are:
- no recording indicator, or
- lose most of the display area with a 1x2 multiviewer layout and one window used.
Use case is for when this output provides a confidence monitor for non-technical users during recording. Showing recording status as part of this would be extremely useful.
