I have been live streaming video from my kids soccer games for about 6 months now. I didn’t bother trying to broadcast the audio at first but recently decided I wanted to. It does not seem like the audio is propagating from the Webcaster to YouTube or perhaps YouTube is ignoring the audio? I have a camera that outputs composite video and left/right RCA audio I run those through a converter that coalesces them into an HDMI signal. That HDMI signal goes into the Webcaster to stream and the HDMI output from the Webcaster goes to a monitor with a speaker. I can hear the audio on the speaker on the monitor so I know it is getting to/through the system but when I watch the YouTube stream on my mobile device it does not have any sound. Has anyone run into similar problems? I have tried swapping cameras and using ones that have HDMI out on them (instead of the composite/RCAs) but I get the same results. No sound on my YouTube stream. Thank you in advance for your help.
Hmm that is very strange! Certainly if the HDMI output has the audio then this should be included in the stream.
One possibility is under Preferences make sure that the option for Use USB audio Source is not enabled. If this is enabled then the USB audio will be used instead of HDMI audio, but the HDMI audio will be what is passed through to the HDMI output still.
