Interlaced signal input to AV.IO HD

My video cameras (Canon XA20, Canon G20 etc) all output their HDMI feed at 1080i (60 frames interlaced) even if I set different recording settings. Does anyone know what AV.IO HD does with a 60i interlaced input. Does it pass it on to my computer as a 60i signal or can it adjust to a progressive output? I know AV.IO only scales and doesn’t process so had assumed it isn’t doing anything. I know others such as as Magewell can be set to de-interlace.

AV.io HD can capture both interlaced and progressive signals without issue. You are correct that no encoding is taking place at a hardware level, and all encoding is done in the software application. There are no set deinterlacing options on the device itself however
