Can Epiphan Mini work as a decoder ?
I mean can the unit receive stream and then re-stream it again?
Pearl Mini has the ability to capture an RTSP or SRT stream as a video source, so that is certainly possible! SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) allows for high quality and low-latency stream from point-to-point, meaning you could send an SRT stream from the originating location to Pearl as a video source, define the desired encoding settings for the channel, record a local asset while also streaming out to the desired destination(s) of choice using all the most up-to-date streaming protocols
good morning, I have a pearl mini and I want to know how to enable the EXT-X-ENDLIST tag in the child playlist by the encoder when the broadcast ends
Hello! The EXT-X-ENDLIST tag should be enabled by default in the latest firmware, version 4.15.0h. If your Pearl is currently up to date and still running into issues please send us a ticket at info@epiphan.com so we can try a more thorough investigation. Thanks!
