Epiphan discovery utility

Hey there,

is it possible that the Epiphan discovery utility doesn’t work since the last firmware upgrade? In our company network the tool doesn’t find any Pearl. It doesn’t matter whether you use the search button or manually add a device and type in the DHCP IP address by hand. We still work the first generation of Epiphan Pearl.

Any ideas?

Correct, this no longer works with the Pearl units on their new firmware. This was for improved security on the units as this was requested by some customers.

With the new firmware you would need to either check on the Pearl itself for the serial number, or check without your router to see what DHCP addresses were being given out.
