Device overheating

Moderator notes: actual serial numbers have been redacted from post

Hi! I have some problems with pearls mini. Devices with such serials have overheating: GSAAxxxxxx – 67 ℃, GSAAxxxxxx – 65 ℃, GSAAxxxxxx – 63 ℃, GSAAxxxxxx – 69 ℃, GSAAxxxxxx – 61 ℃, GSAAxxxxxx – 68 ℃, GSAAxxxxxx – 66 ℃. The devices stand in closed racks with perforations in the lid. Is it normal temperature or these devices are defective? I need to understand how critical this is: whether the service life will decrease. Can you give any recommendations on device maintenance?

Hello Mike,

Thanks for reaching out to us on live chat and direct email regarding what you’re experiencing on your end! The operating temperatures of these Pearl Mini units are well within our recommendations; temperatures as high as 75C would be acceptable. However, the enclosure that is described may not be an ideal environment. We would suggest measuring the ambient temperature of this closed rack when the Pearl Mini units are in operation to ensure it is at or below 30C.

Happy to help with any other questions you might have!
