How to grab a snapshot from an external software? The use case is a laptop running a tool from which the user wants to command a snapshot and then fetch it as a file from the connected USB connection.
You can’t capture a screenshot externally from our own Capture Tool application unfortunately. I would recommend instead using FFMpeg as you can easily save screenshots with this using the command prompt. This would work exactly the same as capturing from a USB webcam, it would be via Directshow on Windows, you can see more information here: https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/DirectShow
