I used a Panasonic HC-V700M for direct into HDMI at 1080p, can’t remember which camera I used with the USB capture but I believe it was 1080i but since I used the Magewell USB dongle it seemed to handle to the video compatibility issues. I will setup and test again and provide some footage when I can carve out some time.

UPDATE–I retested with a Canon Vixia that outputs 1080i and was able to successfully connect it via the USB port using an EZCap 287P adapter (I was preciously able to connect using the Magewell dongle).
