That is certainly odd behavior. It’s possible you could be running into a bandwidth or network related issues. As an example, it’s possible that your network does not have enough upload bandwidth to support that bitrate streaming, which causes the stream to stop when Facebook does not receive the information fast enough. Webcaster X2 is, at default, set to a bitrate of 2000 kbps (2MB/S.) This would mean that you need a minimum of 3MB/s of dedicated upload speed for streaming.

You can access bitrate from the preferences page if you need to lower it to 1000 kbps for streaming or testing purposes. However if you are looking to stream at 1000 kbps, the quality will be terribly for 720P or 1080P and you will need to lower the resolution to reflect the lower bitrate.

I would recommend running a speed test on your network to verify if it supports the possibility of streaming. If you have enough dedicated upload speed you may also need to consider “throttled” connection speeds for streaming IF you have a firewall on your network. If you do indeed have a firewall on your network you will need to ensure that ports 1935, 80 and 443 are open on your firewall for streaming.

If you are connecting to the internet using WIFI, it could be an issue such as connectivity or distance between Webcaster X2 and the wifi modem. It’s also important to note that if you run a speed test on a computer over Ethernet, it will be a very different speed than through Wifi.

Thank you , yes u are correct I went live last night I used Facebook live platform , I started to stream I notice 4g LTE wasn’t helping to good on 1080 - 720 so I did drop the bitrate to 1000 , also sacrificed the quality I believe it was 640 the next level down from 720 and sure enough it do what supposed to do , I verified later last night , and seen the results much better , satisfied u could say , I just reget not having enough upload speed for 720hd. Streaming . But again thank you for confirming my actual results of last night…
