Bad quality on SDI input

Hello,

I just installed a Pearl mini in an old installation. It is used as a recorder and AFU to a NAS.
My problem is the poor quality on the SDI input. Vertical transitions are not clean. The input signal is 720X576 @ 50Hz (interlaced).
I’m not talking about the encoding settings because the problem is visible on the entry itself.

This is a link to a short video of the problem:

How can I fix it?

Thank you so much.

Unfortuantely this looks about as bad as I would expect for a camera sending out 720x576 50i. If the camera can be set to output higher quality (progressive, higher framerate, higher resolution) then I would certainly advise this. Otherwise you may want to consider upgrading the cameras. Sorry to say, but there will be certain losses when de-interlacing and scaling as you are doing, and the only real way to solve this would be to improve the source signal.

Thank you for your reply. I will try with a converter.
