The AVio.HD input is connected to a VGA signal 1680x1050 and the capture application is OBS ( or any other application) that is set to 1920x1080.
Randomly the input resolution 1680x1050 changes for a couple of seconds to 1400x1050 ( that resolution is detected by the Config tool).
The AVio.HD input signal is VGA and it is coming from a VGA splitter. A display and a projector connected to other VGA splitter outputs work fine and stable. I replaced the splitter, cables etc. to be shure that the problem is not related to the VGA signal itself. It happens with any computer VGA output connected to the system.
The VGA usb cable is connect to an iMac where the capture applications run. I replaced it with a MacBook and the problem remains.
Just to give an idea the resolution changes can happen about 5 times in an hour.
I also added an EDID emulator to the computer VGA output in order to have a stable 1680x1050 resolution but the problem persists.
Any help is very appreciated.

Hi Diego,
This is very odd, the AV.io HD doesn’t really have any ability to change the input signal coming in. It has an EDID which the source can read to send specific resolutions but that can be ignored by the source as well.
If the capture application requests a different resolution than the incoming signal the AV.io will scale to the requested resolution but this would not affect the input resolution, it’s only on the output/USB side.
Have you tried the source directly into the AV.io, bypassing the splitter? What can often happen with splitters is that another device connected to the splitter causes the master output EDID to change and can cause the source to send a different resolution to the AV.io.
Ultimately there is no setting on the AV.io which would change the input resolution, this must be changed by modifying the source.
Dear Adam,
thanks for replying.
I am going to bypass the splitter to test if any other connected device could send any unwanted EDID. The system is installed in a very busy lecture room and so I have to book it to make the test…
Thank you very much for your help, very appreciated.
