AV.io HD won't capture DV audio output?

I’ve been successfully capturing HDV video from a Canon HV20 MiniDV camcorder. But when I attempt to capture older standard definition DV tapes played through the camcorder, the video is captured fine, but the audio is not being throughput by the AV.io HD converter. I can hear the audio through the camcorder speakers, but the audio is not making its way through the AV.io converter.

Ideas on how to resolve this issue?

You may need to verify to see if your camera supports outputting audio over HDMI through its menu settings. If it does not support HDMI audio output, you will need to capture the audio separately into the computer using either an audio capture card or the 3.5mm microphone input on the computer
