AV.IO HD only allows 15 FPS. Previously I could set for 60FPS. What happened?

I have been streaming from my MacBook Pro for 2 years using AV.IO HD. I was able to set the frame rate in my Wirecast app to 60FPS. I had to delete my AV.IO shot in Wirecast and recreate it. Now in the settings section the only option for Frame Rate is “Default 15” when I set the resolution to 1280X720. All of my streams show stuttering of the video now. Is this fixable? Why did this change? Thanks.

Hello,

What color is the LED on the AV.io? If it’s green (as opposed to blue) this would indicate a USB 2.0 connection which would certainly limit the frame rate at HD resolutions due a bandwidth limitation of USB 2.0.

However the AV.io should have no ability to limit what target frame rates are set in various 3rd party apps, you should be able to set whatever FPS you want, the USB 2.0 connection would simply limit the frame rate due to bandwidth, so it’s a little odd this is occurring.

If the LED is indeed Blue could you try a different capture software to see if the same limitation exists?
