Add a video file to a layout

It is possible to add a video (.mp4) file to a layout and play it during a live production. Use the following procedure to add a video file to a layout: 

1. Log in to the Admin panel. For more information, see Connect to the Admin panel. If you need to upload a video file, follow steps 2-4. If you have already uploaded a video file, skip to step 5.
2. In the Configuration panel, click Media to open the Media configuration page.
3. Under Upload file, click Choose File.
4. Select an .mp4 file from your computer or storage drive, then click Open.
5. Click Upload to upload the file. The file should now appear under Files. If you need to upload multiple videos, repeat steps 3-5.
6. Select the layout that will contain the video file within the Channels menu. To create a new channel, see Create a channel.
7. Click Add new item and choose Video file from the drop down. Select the video from your uploaded videos.
8. In the layout area, use the mouse, the keyboard or the manual position value fields to position and resize your video. For more details, see About the custom layout editor.
9. When you are finished customizing your layout, click Save.
