Tools menu

The Tools menu in the Epiphan Capture Tool lets you upload custom EDIDs and set application options.

The Tools menu has these options:

Menu item	Shortcut	Description
Upload EDID to Device...		Use this command to upload a custom EDID to the video grabber. See Update device EDID.
Read EDID from Device...		Use this command to upload a custom EDID to the video grabber. See Update device EDID.
Measure VGA Mode...		When requested by Epiphan technical support, you can use this command to display low-level information they can use to help diagnose problems. Copy this information into an email or chat with Epiphan technical support.
Upgrade EDIDs for all Devices		From time to time, Epiphan releases updated general-purpose EDIDs for video grabbers. Use this tool to check for updates and apply them.
